Brownie Almond Torte - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 (1 oz.) sq. unsweetened chocolate
    1 1/4 c. sifted plain flour
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. margarine
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    4 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. chopped almonds
    2 large cartons Cool Whip
    9 to 10 (9-inch) waxed paper circles
Preparation
    Up to one week before serving, preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    In double boiler over hot water, melt chocolate.
    Sift flour with baking powder and salt.
    Cream margarine with sugar until fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time.
    At low speed, beat in chocolate, vanilla, flour mixture and almonds.
    Grease cookie sheet.
    Place 1 or 2 waxed paper circles on it.
    Grease circles.
    Spread 1/2 cup batter on paper making it even and round.
    Bake 10 to 12 minutes. Cool 5 minutes.
    Remove.
    Cool.
    Remove paper.
    Continue baking layers.
