Sauerkraut Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. Italian sausage
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    2 large apples, peeled and quartered
    2 regular cans sauerkraut (undrained)
    1 c. water
    1/2 c. packed brown sugar
    2 tsp. caraway seed
Preparation
    Slice sausage; saute with onion until tender.
    Drain off fat. Stir in apples, sauerkraut, water, brown sugar and caraway seed. Blend well.
    Pour into 2 1/2-quart casserole.
    Cover with foil. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
    Freezes well.
