Corn Bread - cooking recipe

1 c. corn meal
1 c. sifted flour
1/4 c. sugar
4 tsp. baking powder
2 eggs
1 c. milk
1/4 c. shortening
1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation

Mix all together and spread in a 9 x 9-inch pan.
Bake at 425\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
