Cherry-Coconut Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. flour
    1/2 c. margarine
    3 Tbsp. confectioners sugar
    2 eggs, slightly beaten
    1 c. granulated sugar
    1/2 c. quartered maraschino cherries
    1/4 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
    3/4 c. chopped nuts
    1/2 c. coconut
Preparation
    Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Mix flour, margarine and confectioners sugar until smooth.
    Spread and flatten in ungreased square pan (8 x 8 x 2-inch).
    Bake about 25 minutes.
    Stir rest of ingredients into eggs.
    Spread over top of baked pastry.
    Bake about 25 minutes.
    Cool.
    Cut into bars (18 bars).
