Potato Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 medium size potatoes
    1/4 of a onion diced
    1/3 tsp minced garlic
    4 slivered baby carrots
    salt and pepper dash of each
    1 c. evaporated milk
    2 tbsp butter
    3 tsp corn starch
    1 12 oz can chicken broth
Preparation
    Combine potatoes, onion, carrots, garlic in enough water to cover potatoes.
    In medium cooker cook until tender about 10 to 15 minutes.
    Drain over have the water off but not all the water.
    Add 1/2 of the chicken broth.
    Bring to boil; mix remaining chicken broth and corn starch and pour into potatoes.
    Add milk, butter, salt, and pepper stir together and let simmer for 5 minutes.
