Blackberry Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. Crisco
    2 c. sugar
    3 large eggs
    3 c. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. blackberries, drained
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. cloves
    1 tsp. allspice
    1 tsp. soda, dissolved in 1 c. buttermilk
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar.
    Add eggs one at a time; mix well. Mix dry ingredients together.
    Add buttermilk and dry ingredients alternately.
    Coat blackberries with a small amount of flour; add to other ingredients and mix well.
