Relish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 c. ground onions
    5 c. ground bell pepper (red and green)
    1/2 c. salt
    1 Tbsp. celery seed
    1 1/4 tsp. turmeric
    4 c. vinegar
    6 c. ground cabbage
    5 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. mustard seed
Preparation
    Grind vegetables using coarse food chopper blade.
    Sprinkle with salt; let stand overnight.
    Rinse and drain.
    Combine remaining ingredients.
    Pour over vegetable mixture.
    Heat to boiling point, then simmer 3 minutes.
    Seal in hot, sterilized jars.
    Makes 8 pints.
