Fruit Cocktail Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1 c. sugar
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 beaten egg
    1 can fruit cocktail (2 c., including juice)
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients and mix well.
    Pour into greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
    If desired, sprinkle 3/4 cup nuts on top.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
