Grandma'S Pan Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter
    1 1/2 c. blackberry jam or jelly
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    3 c. flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. cloves
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    3 eggs
Preparation
    Cream shortening, sugar, eggs and jam.
    Beat thoroughly. Sift flour; measure and resift with soda, salt and spices.
    Add alternately with milk to first mixture.
    Beat well.
    Pour into well-greased tube pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for about 5 minutes.
    Ice with Caramel Frosting.
