Blitz Torte - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
    4 egg yolks, beaten light
    1 c. Swans Down cake flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    5 Tbsp. milk
    2 Tbsp. stiff beaten egg whites (out of 4 beaten)
    1 c. powdered sugar
Preparation
    Mix together all ingredients except egg whites and powdered sugar.
    Beat powdered sugar into 2 tablespoons of stiff beaten egg whites.
    Pour batter into 2 greased layer cake pans.
    Spread egg white mixture over batter.
    Sprinkle tops with chopped walnuts. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes until edges start to shrink.
