Cream Of Mushroom Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. mushrooms
    1 small onion, chopped
    1/4 c. butter or margarine
    1/4 c. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    4 c. milk (some cream can be substituted)
    1/4 c. sherry
    1/2 c. chicken stock
Preparation
    Chop mushrooms, including stems; saute with onion in butter or margarine for 10 minutes.
    Blend in flour, salt and pepper. Stirring constantly, add milk and chicken stock.
    Cook until thick.
    Add sherry just before serving.
    Serves 6.
