Mom'S Chocolate Chip Chiffon Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 sq. unsweetened chocolate
    5 egg yolks (unbeaten)
    3/4 c. cold water
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. almond extract
    2 1/4 c. sifted cake flour
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. Wesson oil
    1 c. egg whites
    1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
Preparation
    Sift flour, sugar, baking powder and salt together.
    Make a well; add oil, egg yolks, water, vanilla and almond extract.
    Beat until smooth.
    In large bowl, beat egg whites with cream of tartar until very stiff.
    Pour egg mixture gradually over whites.
    Blend in one square of finely grated unsweetened chocolate.
    Pour into tube pan and bake at 325\u00b0 for 55 minutes, then at 350\u00b0 for 10 or 15 minutes.
    Invert and hang until cool.
