Dairy Queen Ice Cream - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 envelopes gelatin
    1/2 c. cold water
    4 c. whole milk
    2 c. sugar
    2 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. salt
    3 c. cream
Preparation
    Soak gelatin in the cold water.
    Heat milk until hot, but not boiling; remove from heat.
    Add gelatin, sugar, vanilla and salt. Cool.
    Add cream.
    Put in icebox to chill 5 to 6 hours before freezing.
    Makes 1 gallon.
