Brown Sugar Shortbread Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter (only), softened
    1/2 c. packed brown sugar
    2 1/4 c. flour
Preparation
    In mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar.
    Gradually stir in the flour.
    Knead in bowl for 3 minutes.
    Roll into small balls; place 1-inch apart onto an ungreased cookie sheet.
    Flatten with a fork.
    Do not dip fork in water or flour.
    Bake at 300\u00b0 for 20 minutes or just until bottom of cookies begin to brown.
    Yields 3 1/2 dozen.
