Fresh Apple Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 c. Winesap or Jonathan apples, freshly peeled and diced
2 c. sugar
1 c. nuts, chopped
3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. soda
1 c. oil
2 eggs, well beaten
Preparation

Mix apples, sugar and nuts.
Let stand for 1 hour.
Stir often so that mixture makes its own juice. Sift dry ingredients together.
Add dry ingredients to apple mixture and add oil, vanilla and eggs. Stir by hand (not mixer).
Pour batter into greased and floured tube pan or 2 loaf pans.
Bake tube pan at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour and 15 minutes; loaf pans for 1 hour at 350\u00b0.
