Wash Day Soup - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 large onion, chopped
1 garlic bud, diced
5 or 6 potatoes, cut into bite size
3 or 4 carrots, cut into bite size
2 or 3 stalks celery, cut into bite size
1 1/2 to 2 lb. lean ground beef (roll to meatball size)
1 tall can V-8 juice
Preparation

In a large pot put onion, garlic and meat balls.
Cover with water and bring to boiling.
Cook meat balls so they will hold their shape.
Add celery, potatoes, carrots and add V-8 juice. Add more water if needed to cover all vegetables and meatballs. Cook until vegetables are tender, about 1 hour.
Serve with garlic bread.
