Country Fried Steak - cooking recipe

cube steaks
garlic powder
salt
pepper
oil
flour
milk
water
Preparation

Sprinkle steaks with salt, pepper and garlic powder.
Dredge steak into flour and fry in hot oil.
Set aside.
Pour out excessive oil, add flour to remaining oil and stir until golden. Add equal amount of milk and water to make a thin gravy.
Season to taste.
Put meat in an ovenproof casserole.
Pour gravy over it, cover and bake at low temperature for 2 hours or until meat is tender.
