Apple Lemon Chess Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. grated lemon rind
4 eggs, beaten
3 Tbsp. lemon juice
1/4 c. butter or margarine, melted
1 c. unsweetened applesauce
1 unbaked (9-inch) pastry shell
Preparation

Combine sugar, salt and lemon rind; set aside.
Combine eggs, lemon juice, butter and applesauce; add dry ingredients and beat with an electric mixer until mixture is blended.
Pour into unbaked pastry shell; bake at 450\u00b0 for 15 minutes.
Reduce heat to 350\u00b0; bake an additional 15 minutes or until set.
Cool on a wire rack.
