Choconut Caramel Bars - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 (11 1/2 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
2 Tbsp. shortening
30 vanilla caramels
3 Tbsp. butter
2 Tbsp. water
1 c. chopped pecans
Preparation

Melt chips and shortening in top of double boiler.
Pour half into a 9-inch pan. Refrigerate about 15 minutes.
Melt caramels, butter and water.
Mix in nuts.
Pour over hardened chocolate and chill about 10 minutes.
Pour remaining chocolate over caramel mixture and return to refrigerator until hard (about 30 minutes).
