Waldorf Astoria(Red Velvet Cake) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. sifted flour
    1 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. cocoa
    1/2 c. Crisco
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1 c. sour cream or buttermilk
    1 1/2 tsp. almond flavoring
    1 1/2 oz. red food coloring
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 Tbsp. vinegar
Preparation
    Sift flour, salt and cocoa.
    Cream together shortening. Add sugar gradually and cream
    until fluffy.
    Add eggs, one at a time, beating well.
    Add flour alternately, with sour cream. Beat until smooth.
    Add flavoring and food coloring.
    Dissolve baking soda in vinegar and
    fold
    into
    mixture.
    Bake
    in two 9-inch greased pans or one 13
    x
    9-inch
    pan.
    Bake
    30 to 40 minutes at 350\u00b0.
