Coconut Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. margarine, melted
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    2/3 tsp. vanilla
    3 egg yolks
    2 c. sweet milk
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/3 c. coconut
Preparation
    Mix sugar and melted butter.
    Add cornstarch and mix thoroughly.
    Add egg yolks, flavoring and salt.
    Add milk gradually.
    Set on heat in double boiler.
    Stir constantly until thick.
    Remove from heat and add 1/3 cup of coconut.
    Put in baked pie shell.
    Use egg whites for meringue.
    Sprinkle coconut on meringue and bake at 350\u00b0 until brown.
    Makes one 9-inch or two small pies.
