Strawberry Jam - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 qt. crushed strawberries
    6 c. sugar
Preparation
    Combine strawberries and sugar; bring slowly to a boil, stirring occasionally until sugar dissolves.
    Cook rapidly until thick, about 40 minutes.
    As mixture thickens, stir frequently to prevent sticking.
    Pour boiling hot into sterilized ball jars. Adjust caps.
    Yield:
    4 pints.
