"Arni Psito" - Leg Of Lamb - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 leg of lamb
4 to 5 cloves garlic, halved or quartered (optional)
3/4 stick butter
1/4 to 1/2 c. lemon juice (use more or less according to personal preference)
1 tsp. oregano
Preparation

Make holes in meat with a sharp knife and insert cloves of garlic throughout the lamb.
Place in roasting pan with just enough water to barely cover bottom of pan.
Bake in 350\u00b0 to 375\u00b0 oven for about 30 to 45 minutes.
Remove from oven.
Melt butter; add lemon juice and oregano.
Pour lemon mixture over lamb and bake for about 1 1/2 hours, basting every few minutes with sauce. Remove from oven and let set a few minutes.
Cut meat from bone and place meat in juice.
Continue baking in oven until fork-tender.
