Minestrone - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 qt. beef broth
    1 1/2 c. home cooked or canned chickpeas
    2/3 c. diced celery
    2/3 c. diced carrots
    1/2 c. diced onion
    16 oz. can tomatoes, undrained
    8 oz. can green lima beans, undrained
    1/3 c. elbow macaroni
    oregano, salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Bring to a boil the peas, celery, carrots, onion and tomatoes. Simmer about 45 minutes. Add lima beans, macaroni and seasoning. Cook until macaroni is tender. Serve with freshly grated Parmesan cheese.
    Makes 8 to 10 servings.
