Favorite Bread Dressing - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. minced onion
1 qt. diced celery
1 c. shortening
1 Tbsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
2 tsp. poultry seasoning
4 qt. breadcrumbs
1 1/2 to 2 c. broth

Preparation

Cook onion and celery in shortening over low heat until onion is soft, but not browned, stirring occasionally.
