Grebel - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 lb. margarine
    4 eggs
    4 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 pt. cream (half and half)
    1/2 tsp. salt
    5 c. flour
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients together (dough will be sticky).
    Roll out on a heavily floured board to about 1/2-inch thickness.
    Cut in slices about 2 inches apart.
    Then cut in opposite direction about 4 inches.
    Make a slit in the middle long way and pull one end through the middle.
    Deep fry in hot oil until browned on both sides.
    While warm, roll in powdered sugar or plain sugar.
