Stuffed Peppers(Peperoni Ripieni) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 large peppers
    1 lb. ground sirloin
    2 cloves garlic, chopped
    2 Tbsp. parsley, chopped
    1 egg
    salt and pepper to taste
    1/2 c. cooked rice
    1 (14 oz.) can tomato sauce
    1 medium onion, sliced
    1/4 c. olive oil
    1/2 c. water
Preparation
    Cut top off of
    pepper and discard pulp and seeds.
    Set aside. Combine in
    mixing
    bowl:
    beef, garlic, parsley, egg, salt, pepper, rice and 4 ounces tomato sauce.
    Mix well.
    Fill cavity of pepper
    with
    meat
    filling
    and replace top.
    Saute onion in oil until tender.
    Remove onion and set aside.
