Apple Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. self-rising flour
    3 Tbsp. shortening
    enough sweet milk to make stiff
    2 c. water
    1 stick margarine
    1 1/4 c. white sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
    3 1/2 c. chopped and peeled apples
    1 1/2 c. brown sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Mix flour, shortening and milk to make stiff.
    Chill 5 to 6 hours.
    In saucepan let water, margarine, sugar and vanilla get hot.
    Roll chilled pastry thin and add apples, brown sugar, cinnamon.
    Roll up into long roll.
    Slice 1 1/2 inches thick.
    Add this to the top mixture.
    Cook 1 hour at 350\u00b0.
