Norwegian Kristen Kringles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1 1/2 c. butter
    2 Tbsp. water
    1/2 c. butter
    1 c. water
    1 c. flour
    3 eggs
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. almond flavoring
Preparation
    Cut together flour, butter and water (first 3 ingredients). Make 2 equal strips on cookie sheet 3-inches wide by length of cookie sheet.
    Heat 1/2 cup butter with 1 cup water.
    Take off heat. Add 1 cup flour.
    Beat until clear. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each egg. Add salt and flavoring.
    Spread on pastry crust evenly. Bake 45 minutes at 375\u00b0.
    Frost.
