Squash Fritters - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. cornmeal
    1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 egg, slightly beaten
    1/2 c. milk
    1 tsp. minced onion
    1 tsp. vegetable oil
    1 c. mashed cooked squash
Preparation
    Mix flour, meal, baking powder and salt in large bowl.
    Mix egg, milk, onion, oil and squash.
    Stir squash mixture into dry mixture.
    Drop by tablespoonfuls into deep, hot fat heated to 360\u00b0.
    Fry 5 to 6 fritters each time.
    Drain on paper towel. Serve hot.
