Sandbakkelse - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter
    1 c. corn oil margarine
    2 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. pure almond extract
    5 c. flour
    1 c. chopped almonds (optional)
Preparation
    Beat butter, margarine and sugar until light and fluffy.
    Beat in egg, salt and flavoring.
    Blend in flour.
    Form into balls the size of a walnut.
    Place on ungreased baking sheet.
    Press flat with fork dipped in cold water. Bake in a preheated 375\u00b0 oven for 10 to 12 minutes until light golden brown around edges.
    Cool on rack. Store in airtight container in freezer.
