Banana And Orange Trifle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 trifle sponges
    a little sherry
    orange squash
    1 banana
    raspberry or strawberry jam
    1 pt. made-up custard
    whipped or Devon cream
    glace cherries or angelica, or sugar strands
Preparation
    Break up the trifle sponges and put in bottom of serving dish. Mix undiluted orange squash and sherry (about a teacupful altogether) and pour over sponge, making sure it is all moistened. Leave to stand, preferably overnight.
