Almond Cream - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 envelope Knox unflavored gelatine
    1/4 c. water
    1/4 c. sugar or honey
    1 1/2 c. milk
    1/2 tsp. almond flavoring
    16 oz. can mixed chunk fruit or cut up fresh fruits
Preparation
    Dissolve gelatine in 1/4 cup water.
    Heat 1/2 cup milk and sugar in a pan until sugar is dissolved.
    Mix it with the gelatine.
    Then add 1 cup cold milk and almond flavoring.
    Stir it well.
    Put the mixture into a pie plate and place in refrigerator. When set, cut in diamond shapes.
    Pour syrup from the canned fruit over it.
    Garnish with canned fruit and mix carefully with a wooden spoon.
    Prettiest served from a clear glass bowl in small glass dessert dishes.
