Corn Fritters - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 can whole kernel corn, drained
    1 c. flour
    1 c. low-fat sour cream
    2 eggs
    2 Tbsp. applesauce
    2 Tbsp. finely chopped onion
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    oil for frying
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients, except oil for frying, in medium bowl.
    Mix well.
    Let stand 1 hour.
    Heat 2 to 3 inches of oil in deep fryer.
    Drop batter by heaping tablespoonfuls into hot oil. Fry a few at a time for 5 to 6 minutes or until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
    Repeat with remaining batter.
    Serve immediately or keep warm in 175\u00b0 oven.
