Ingredients

1 pkg. active dry yeast
1 tsp. sugar
1/4 c. warm water
6 eggs
6 c. flour
1/2 c. flour
1/4 c. melted butter
1 c. evaporated milk
1 tsp. salt
1 c. water
deep fat (for frying)
Preparation

Dissolve yeast and sugar in warm water.
Beat eggs until thick.
Measure flour into a large bowl. Make a well in the center.
Add yeast, eggs and remaining ingredients.
Beat thoroughly to form a soft, smooth dough. Cover and let rise until double.
Punch down and let rise again.
Spoon teaspoonfuls of dough into hot oil (375\u00b0).
Fry until brown. Drain and shake in a bag with granulated sugar.
Serve hot.
