Orange Pineapple Bavarian - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (16 oz.) can crushed pineapple
    3 Tbsp. sugar
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1 c. boiling water
    2 c. prepared whipped topping
    1 (3 oz.) pkg. orange-pineapple flavored gelatin
Preparation
    Drain
    pineapple,
    measuring
    juice.
    Add
    water
    to
    juice, if necessary,
    to
    make
    1 cup.
    Add sugar to drained pineapple. Dissolve gelatin and salt in boiling water.
    Add measured liquid and chill until slightly
    thickened.
    Fold in whipped topping and the pineapple.
    Chill again, if necessary, until mixture will mound.
    Spoon into serving bowl or
    individual
    dessert dishes. Garnish with Mandarin orange sections, maraschino cherries or nuts, if desired.
    Makes 5 cups or 10 servings.
