Strawberry Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 baked pie shell
    1 qt. strawberries
    3/4 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 c. water
    3 1/2 Tbsp. wild strawberry gelatin
    1 c. whipping cream (optional)
Preparation
    Combine sugar, cornstarch and water.
    Cook over medium heat until thickened and clear.
    Remove from heat.
    Add gelatin; stir until well blended.
    Cool.
    Wash and hull strawberries.
    Slice into baked pie shell.
    Pour gelatin mixture evenly over. Refrigerate.
    Gelatin will not be as thick after it is added, but will thicken in the refrigerator.
    Won't be of Jell-O consistency but will be more like a soft custard.
    When ready to serve, whip cream and sweeten to taste with sugar.
    Spread evenly over entire pie.
