Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
    1/2 c. light corn syrup
    1/2 c. water
    pinch of salt
    1/4 c. butter
    1/8 tsp. baking soda
    1 1/2 c. peanuts
Preparation
    Combine sugars, corn syrup and water in saucepan.
    Cook, stirring until sugar is dissolved.
    Cook without stirring to 300\u00b0 on candy thermometer.
    Remove from heat; add salt, butter and soda and stir just to mix.
    Add nuts and turn into shallow greased pan. Let stand for a minute or so and then pull quite thin.
    When cold, break up.
