Potato Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 small potatoes
    1 egg
    1/2 c. grated cheese
    2 Tbsp. grated onion
    1 Tbsp. flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    dash of pepper
Preparation
    Peel potato and shred.
    Rinse in cold water and dry thoroughly. Beat egg until frothy and add potatoes, cheese, onion, flour, salt and pepper.
    Stir well.
    Heat butter in a large skillet and drop potato mixture by rounded tablespoons into hot skillet.
    Brown on one side.
    Turn and brown slowly on the other side until done.
    I flatten mine out like hash brown patties.
