Layered Lettuce Salad - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 head lettuce
1 c. celery, chopped
1 pkg. frozen green peas (10 oz.)
2 c. mayonnaise
6 oz. grated Cheddar cheese
8 slices bacon, fried crisp
1 c. chopped green pepper
1 medium onion
2 Tbsp. sugar
Preparation

Cover bottom of 9 x 13-inch pan with lettuce.
Layer in order given:
pepper, celery, onion and peas.
Combine mayonnaise and sugar. Frost top of salad with mixture being sure to spread to cover and seal edges.
Grate cheese over top.
Crumble bacon over cheese.
Cover dish and refrigerate at least 12 hours before serving.
