Chocolate Cookie Dough With Chocolate-Covered Cherries - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter or oleo, softened
    1 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    1/2 c. cocoa (unsweetened)
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. soda
Preparation
    In large mixing bowl, cream butter, sugar, egg and vanilla until light and fluffy.
    Add remaining ingredients.
    Blend at low speed until dough forms, about 1 minute.
    (Dough will be stiff.) Shape dough into 1-inch balls, using heaping teaspoon for each. Place 2-inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
    Push one cherry halfway in each ball.
    When all are pushed in, prepare frosting mix.
    Use immediately.
    Frost each one by using 1/2 teaspoon of frosting for each one.
    Frosting will spread some during baking. Bake frosted cookies at 350\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes until puffy.
