Overnight Layer Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 head lettuce
    1/4 c. chopped onion
    1 pkg. frozen green peas, cooked, drained and cooled
    1 c. sour cream
    1 c. mayonnaise
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 c. grated Cheddar cheese
    6 to 8 slices bacon, browned and crumbled
Preparation
    Shred lettuce.
    Place in bottom of pan.
    Add in layers the onion and peas.
    Combine the sour cream and mayonnaise.
    Blend well.
    Spread over peas.
    Sprinkle sugar on sour cream and mayonnaise.
    Add layer of grated cheese next.
    Top with bacon pieces.
    Cover tightly with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 8 to 24 hours before serving.
