Mahogany Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 bar Baker's chocolate
    1 c. milk
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. shortening
    2 eggs
    1/2 c. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. cake flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Cook chocolate bar and 1 cup milk until thick or melted; cool. Beat well sugar, shortening and eggs.
    Add chocolate and 1/2 milk and vanilla.
    Add flour, soda and salt; mix well.
    Bake in greased and floured pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes until done. If baked in cake pans, makes 3 small or 2 large pans or 10 x 12-inch pan.
    Frost with either chocolate or butter frosting.
