Patsy'S Fried Pies - cooking recipe
Ingredients

5 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 c. Crisco
2 eggs
1 large can evaporated milk (I use Milnot)
3 c. milk
3 egg yolks
small amount of yellow food coloring
3 Tbsp. flour
3 Tbsp. cornstarch
1 c. sugar
1 c. coconut
1 Tbsp. oleo (optional)
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Beat egg yolks with small amount of the milk, then combine. Combine flour, cornstarch and sugar. Stir into milk and egg mixture. Add coconut. Stir over medium heat until mixture thickens and bubbles. Then add oleo and vanilla. Pour into baked pie shell, then cover with Meringue.
