Auntie'S Icebox Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 c. all-purpose flour
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. ground nutmeg
    1 tsp. ground cinnamon
    2 c. butter or margarine, softened
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. packed brown sugar
    3 eggs
    1 tsp. lemon extract
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Sift together first 5 ingredients; set aside.
    In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugars.
    Add eggs, vanilla and lemon extract; beat well.
    Add dry ingredients and mix well.
    Stir in nuts.
    Divide dough into 4 parts and shape into 1 1/2 x 11-inch rolls.
    Wrap in foil and chill overnight.
    Slice cookies 3/8-inch thick.
    Bake on greased sheets at 350\u00b0 for about 10 minutes. Yields about 17 dozen cookies.
