Rice Pilaf - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 lb. butter
    1 medium onion, minced
    1 c. uncooked white rice
    1 can condensed consomme (chicken or beef)
    2/3 c. water
    1 c. sliced mushrooms (may use canned and drained)
    1/4 c. sliced or slivered almonds, toasted (I prefer the sliced and peeled almonds)
Preparation
    Melt butter in skillet.
    Add onion and rice.
    Saute 10 minutes or until mixture is a pale yellow.
    Add consomme, water and mushrooms.
    Bring to a boil.
    Turn into 1 1/2-quart casserole and cover.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 25 minutes or until rice is tender and all liquid is absorbed.
    Serve garnished with almonds.
