Shoo-Fly Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1 c. shortening (I use butter flavored Crisco)
1 Tbsp. cinnamon
1 c. Brer Rabbit molasses
2 c. warm water
1 tsp. baking soda, mixed into water
Preparation

Mix the flour, sugar and shortening; put aside 1 cup of mixture for topping.
Add molasses and baking soda-water mixture. Pour into a 9 x 13-inch pan; pour crumbs on top.
Sprinkle with cinnamon.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 to 40 minutes.
