Maryland Crab Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. lump crab meat, cleaned
    1 1/2 Tbsp. finely crumbled Escort cracker crumbs
    1 egg, beaten
    2 Tbsp. mayonnaise
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. mustard
    1 Tbsp. parsley
    1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper
    dash of Tabasco
    1 tsp. white pepper
    Crisco oil (for frying)
Preparation
    Place crab meat in mixing bowl.
    Sprinkle crumbs over crab lightly.
    In another bowl mix egg, mayonnaise, salt, mustard, parsley, cayenne, Tabasco and white pepper.
    Mix together and add to crab meat mixture.
    Shape into small cakes.
    Fry in hot Crisco oil at 350\u00b0 until brown on both sides, turning once.
    Makes about 50 small cakes.
