Warren'S Rabbit Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 rabbit, cut up
    salt and pepper to taste
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    1 Tbsp. flour
    water
Preparation
    Cut up rabbit and soak in salt water for about 1/2 hour. Drain off water and pat dry.
    Season with salt and pepper; dredge in flour.
    Heat shortening in frying pan and brown rabbit well. Add 1 cup water. Cover and simmer about 1 hour or until tender. Make a thickener using 1 tablespoon flour in 1/2 cup water and stir until smooth.
    Pour around rabbit.
    Stir until thickened. Cook a little longer and serve with hot biscuits.
