Hush Puppies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

3 c. corn meal
2 tsp. baking powder
1 medium onion, chopped fine
1 egg (may omit)
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. water

Preparation

Mix together all ingredients.
Drop by teaspoonful in hot vegetable oil until brown.
